Description

I had her this time.  There was no way that felonious feline was going to slip through my grasp again.  Batman had tried to warn me off.  I was "too new, too inexperienced," he said.  She'd "eat me for lunch," he said.  Pffffft.  It was me who had spent weeks sparring with her, stalking her, following her movements.  I'd had a few of encounters with her now, and I'd given her at least as good as I'd got.  Of course, the Caped Crusader was right, Catwoman was dangerous.  Lightning fast, agile, clever.  It was tough to land a clean blow on her, and her claws were razor sharp.  Rolling around on rooftops and trading kicks and punches with her had given me a great appreciation for her.  There was something about the way she moved; she was so sleek, elegant...dare I say cat-like?  Her voice was rich and sultry, making even her self-aggrandizing patter and incessant taunts almost bearable.  A part of me couldn't help but like her.  She was so strong, so independent, bold, daring.  She did what she wanted, when she wanted, and looked good doing it, and she didn't give a damn how anyone else felt about it.  And she managed to keep the Big Bat's panties in a perpetual twist.

Yes, I'd have to be careful, but I knew I could handle her.  I'd put the work in.  I'd tracked her to her lair.  Batman could say whatever he liked, but he'd never managed to get that far.  Now all I had to do was go and bring her in.  My dad was going to be blown away when I showed up at GCPD headquarters with Catwoman in cuffs, and so was Batman.  That caped, brobdingnagian ape and his pixie boot-wearing boy toy wouldn't be able to treat me like a second-class citizen anymore.  Even he would have to--grudgingly, I'm sure--give me credit for this one.

It was an easy enough job jimmying the skylight.  It made a disturbingly loud creak as I lifted it open, but in a second I was through, gliding down to the warehouse floor as silently as a wraith.  It was awfully dark, just a few dim overhead lamps lighting a vast sea of crates and boxes.  But I knew from my informants--and from following Catwoman, herself--that this was it.  She always disappeared right here.  And when that jewel fence I collared last night said something about Mau Industries and the industrial district I knew i had her.  "Mau" was the ancient Egyptian word for cat.  Catwoman was clever, I had to give her that, but she was too cute by half.

She was almost impossible to surprise, but this time I was sure I had the drop on her.  There was an office towards the back of the building, and there was light coming from behind the glazed glass windows.  As I made my way forward I could feel my heart beating faster, that little tingle that comes right before conflict arcing up and down my spine, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.  But there was more, a little frisson of excitement that I only seemed to get when I was going to tangle with Catwoman, a little knot of butterflies in my stomach churning around and around.  The last time we'd fought she'd won--barely--and she'd pinned me down and....kissed me.  It was humiliating.  Disgusting.  I just lay there, staring up at her in surprise.  And then she was gone, escaped into the night.  As I got up and headed back to the Batcycle I couldn't help wishing she'd done it again, and that made me feel even more humiliated.  But I quickly put that thought out of my head.  I was done dancing in the dark with Catwoman on moonlit rooftops, exchanging kicks and punches.  It was time to put the cuffs on her for good.

There was a muffled thump.  Then another.  I paused and crouched down slightly, looking around for any sign of movement.  Nothing.  Then there was another thump, this time right behind me.  I began to spin but it was too late.  It was Catwoman!  She'd dropped down from the rafters atop a stack of boxes, then down atop another, and now she was right behind me, her right hand sliding down my side, curling around the utility belt on my right hip.  I gasped in surprise but before I could even react she'd clamped a damp rag over my nose and mouth, her left arm slipping under mine, rendering it useless.  I tried to reach back for her but to no avail.  I was overwhelmed with the scent from the cloth, sweet as honeysuckle but with a medicinal tinge.  Chloroform!  I'd never smelled it before but I knew what it was, and after just a couple of breaths my head was already beginning to swim a little.

"Hello, Batgirl!" came the amused voice from behind, as sultry and confident as ever.  "I knew if I left you enough bread crumbs you'd eventually find your way here.  You kept getting closer and closer everytime you chased me.  You're quite a clever girl, but I must say I was getting bored with the wait, so I had Charlie Pickets give you that little tip about Mau Industries to speed things along.  I'm glad you beat it out of him, Batgirl, he's a bit of a creep."

I fought as hard as I could, but she was standing on a crate and had the height advantage.  She pulled me back against her, my head to her shoulder, and clamping the anesthetic-soaked rag over my face even more tightly.  I cursed her, tried to scream for help, but she had me gagged.  I could hear my own feet skittering across the concrete floor as I writhed and bucked and my own mewling cries, but nothing else but her breathing in my ear.  Things were really starting to spin now.  The edges of my vision were growing dark.  I managed to pry her hand away from my mouth with my right arm, but only for a moment.  The fresh air was like a tonic, but it was only a breath, perhaps two, and then the sickly-sweet smell of chloroform again.  At first almost pleasant, it was now cloying, overwhelming me.  I couldn't give in, but I knew I was beaten.  I knew I was hers.

"That's a good girl, darling, just breathe.  The chloroform will just put you to sleep, and then I can get you to my real lair.  You've been real pain in my bottom for the last few weeks, Batgirl.  Now I'm going to be a pain in yours," she said softly, almost in a whisper.  "But I've got this strange feeling that you're going to enjoy it almost as much as I am."

My eyelids felt so heavy.  Her words trickled through my brain like molasses, slowly coating my increasingly incoherent thoughts.  I could feel the warmth of her body pressed against me, that voice echoing more and more quietly with each repeated word, drawing me down, down, ever downward into darkness.  I felt afraid, confused, a little aroused, then numb.  Then nothing.

This is part one of a four part collaboration with the one and only :icondonnadomenitzo:.  We are trying something a little bit different this time.  We will each have our own picture of the scene, and the story parts on my page will be from Batgirl's point of view while the story parts on Donna's page will be from Catwoman's point of view.  It's been awhile since we've done any photo stories like this, and we have missed it and hope you have, too!
